About the Client:

Our client is a commercial glazing subcontractor with a strong reputation across the Southeast, specializing in curtain wall, unitized façades, and architectural glass systems for high-rise, institutional, and cultural projects. They are recognized for delivering innovative, complex building envelopes.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a senior-level Estimator to lead bid preparation, cost analysis, and vendor coordination for large-scale glazing projects. This role is key to driving preconstruction strategy and ensuring accurate, competitive proposals on multimillion-dollar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings and specifications for curtain wall, unitized, and specialty glazing systems

• Perform detailed takeoffs and develop cost models for projects up to $50M+

• Lead vendor pricing, proposal development, and bid strategy

• Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams to align scope and budgets

• Maintain historical pricing databases and track market trends

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial glazing or façade systems

• Expertise in curtain wall, window wall, and architectural glass systems

• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and takeoff platforms (PlanSwift, OST, or similar)

• Strong negotiation and client-facing skills

• Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred

Day-to-Day:

• Review bid invitations and prepare comprehensive estimates

• Coordinate vendor pricing, subcontractor scopes, and material quotes

• Build competitive proposals and present pricing strategies to leadership

• Support value engineering and scope alignment with architects and GCs

• Track deadlines, submissions, and preconstruction deliverables
