About the Client:

Our client is a Mid-Atlantic commercial roofing contractor with a strong pipeline of new construction and selective re-roofing projects. They deliver high-quality roofing systems across a variety of applications and are looking for an Estimator to join their growing team and support upcoming work.

Position Overview:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing bids, pricing, and proposals for commercial roofing projects valued up to around $1M. This role requires experience with membrane roofing systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with leadership and clients. Local market knowledge is highly valued for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for roofing projects

  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for accuracy

  • Develop cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and subcontractors

  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership on bid strategy

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients

  • Support turnover of awarded projects to operations team

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator in commercial roofing

  • Knowledge of roofing systems including PVC, EPDM, TPO, and fluid-applied solutions

  • Familiarity with projects valued around up to $1M

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Local market knowledge preferred; ability to leverage existing relationships is a plus

Day-to-Day:

  • Analyze bid invitations and project documents

  • Complete takeoffs and pricing breakdowns

  • Develop and submit proposals within deadlines

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing

  • Report estimating progress and bid status to leadership

  • Support smooth transition of successful bids to the operations team

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $120,000–$130,000 base salary (flexible based on experience)
