About the Client:

Our client is a well-established commercial roofing contractor operating throughout the Carolinas. They specialize in new construction, re-roofing, and large-scale roof replacement projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Known for a safety-first culture and consistent project delivery, they maintain long-term relationships with repeat customers and general contractors.


Position Overview:

The Superintendent will lead field operations across multiple commercial roofing projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role is hands-on and highly visible, responsible for managing crews, coordinating materials, and driving daily production in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day field operations for multiple commercial roofing projects

  • Lead and supervise roofing crews and foremen on active job sites

  • Enforce safety standards and company policies at all times

  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and jobsite logistics

  • Communicate daily with Project Managers on schedule, manpower, and production

  • Ensure work is installed per plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in commercial roofing

  • Strong knowledge of low-slope systems (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal)

  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to travel locally between job sites as needed


Day-to-Day:

  • Start mornings by reviewing schedules, manpower, and material needs

  • Conduct jobsite walks to review progress, safety, and quality

  • Coordinate with foremen on production goals and crew assignments

  • Address field issues, scope questions, and installation challenges

  • Update Project Managers on progress, delays, and upcoming needs

  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant job sites
