Our client is a Texas-based commercial glass and glazing subcontractor known for delivering high-performance curtain wall, storefront, and window wall systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. With a strong backlog across Central Texas, they provide a collaborative environment, steady project pipeline, and long-term career advancement for project delivery professionals.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager will support Project Managers in coordinating glazing projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone with early-career experience in commercial construction—especially glass, glazing, or façade systems—who is ready to deepen their technical skills and move toward a full PM role.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation

Coordinate procurement, material releases, and delivery schedules

Support the PM in supervising project schedules, budgets, and contract compliance

Collaborate with field foremen and installation crews on sequencing and site coordination

Review drawings and models to help verify scope alignment and system details

Communicate with vendors, GCs, and internal teams to maintain project progress

Help track project costs, updates, and closeout requirements
Qualifications:

2–3 years of experience in commercial construction; glazing or façade experience preferred

Understanding of curtain wall, storefront, and pre-glazed/stick-built systems

Familiarity with submittal workflows, procurement, and change order processes

Experience with construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or Revit (ability to navigate models is a plus)

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Eagerness to learn the technical “why” behind system design and installation
Day-to-Day:

Support PMs with document reviews, drawing updates, and project coordination
-
Interface with fabrication partners and vendors to confirm lead times and material needs

Assist field teams with sequencing questions, site logistics, and installation details

Maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, and material tracking

Attend project meetings and record action items for follow-up

Help prepare cost updates, change order documentation, and closeout packets

$80,000–$85,000 base salary + performance-based bonus
