Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager will support Project Managers in coordinating glazing projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone with early-career experience in commercial construction—especially glass, glazing, or façade systems—who is ready to deepen their technical skills and move toward a full PM role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement, material releases, and delivery schedules

  • Support the PM in supervising project schedules, budgets, and contract compliance

  • Collaborate with field foremen and installation crews on sequencing and site coordination

  • Review drawings and models to help verify scope alignment and system details

  • Communicate with vendors, GCs, and internal teams to maintain project progress

  • Help track project costs, updates, and closeout requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in commercial construction; glazing or façade experience preferred

  • Understanding of curtain wall, storefront, and pre-glazed/stick-built systems

  • Familiarity with submittal workflows, procurement, and change order processes

  • Experience with construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or Revit (ability to navigate models is a plus)

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Eagerness to learn the technical “why” behind system design and installation

Day-to-Day:

  • Support PMs with document reviews, drawing updates, and project coordination

  • Interface with fabrication partners and vendors to confirm lead times and material needs

  • Assist field teams with sequencing questions, site logistics, and installation details

  • Maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, and material tracking

  • Attend project meetings and record action items for follow-up

  • Help prepare cost updates, change order documentation, and closeout packets

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $80,000–$85,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • PTO and paid holidays

  • Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance (role-dependent)

  • Long-term growth into Project Manager with increasing project ownership
