About the Client:

Our client is a Mid-Atlantic commercial roofing contractor with a strong presence across the Baltimore–Washington region. They deliver new construction, re-roofing, and large-scale commercial roofing projects for education, healthcare, government, and industrial clients. Known for safety, reliability, and technical expertise, they maintain long-term partnerships with leading general contractors and building owners.


Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple roofing projects. This role will oversee crews, daily production, material coordination, site safety, and quality control from mobilization through closeout. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and deep hands-on experience with low-slope commercial roofing systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise roofing crews and subcontractors on active commercial roofing projects

  • Coordinate daily manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries

  • Conduct jobsite safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company protocols

  • Review drawings, specifications, and installation details to guide field execution

  • Perform daily quality inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards

  • Communicate with clients, GCs, inspectors, and building owners as needed

  • Maintain accurate daily reports including labor, materials, and job progress

  • Manage punch-lists, final inspections, and project close-out documentation


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial roofing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role

  • Strong understanding of TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and metal roofing systems

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and details

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred; strong safety mindset required

  • Proficient with Procore or similar digital field reporting tools

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites


Day-to-Day:

  • Lead morning planning, safety briefings, and daily coordination with crews

  • Walk job sites regularly to monitor progress and ensure quality installation

  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and subcontractor scheduling

  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide direction to foremen

  • Document daily activity in reporting software and communicate updates to PMs

  • Meet with inspectors, building owners, and GC representatives as needed

  • Oversee punch-list completion and support project turnover


Compensation & Benefits:

  • $120,000–$135,000 base salary + performance bonuses
