About the Client:

Our client is a Texas-based commercial glass and glazing subcontractor delivering curtain wall, storefront, and architectural glazing solutions for mid-rise, commercial, institutional, and specialty projects across the region. They are known for strong client relationships, competitive pricing, and consistent repeat business.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an Estimator to join their preconstruction team and support continued growth. This person will lead takeoffs, pricing, vendor coordination, and proposal development for glazing projects while contributing to overall bid strategy. The role is fully remote with a preference for candidates located in Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents for glazing scopes

• Perform detailed takeoffs for curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and specialty glass systems

• Prepare accurate cost models, pricing breakdowns, and bid proposals

• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain current material pricing and lead times

• Support bid strategy, clarifications, and RFI development

• Track historical pricing and maintain estimating databases

• Collaborate with project managers during turnover to ensure accurate scope alignment

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial glass and glazing

• Strong knowledge of aluminum framing systems, glass types, and installation methods

• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and takeoff software

• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines

• Strong communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required

Day-to-Day:

• Analyze invitations to bid and determine project fit

• Complete takeoffs and develop detailed cost breakdowns

• Communicate with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams to verify scope

• Prepare and submit competitive proposals

• Participate in internal review meetings and support follow-up discussions with clients

• Maintain organized bid files and ensure timely submission of all required documentation

Compensation & Benefits:

• $90,000-$100,000 base salary + performance-based bonus program
