About the Client:

Our client is a respected commercial glass and glazing subcontractor serving the Southeast. They specialize in curtain wall, window wall, and storefront systems for high-rise, institutional, and large-scale commercial projects. With a reputation for precision and reliability, they partner with top general contractors and developers on complex building envelopes.

Position Overview:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate bids and proposals for commercial glazing projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of glass and aluminum systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors, project managers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural drawings and specifications for glazing scopes
• Perform detailed takeoffs and build cost estimates
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop bid proposals and support preconstruction strategy
• Maintain historical pricing data and track market trends

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial glass and glazing
• Strong knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, and aluminum systems
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel; PlanSwift or OST a plus
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Day-to-Day:

• Analyze bid invitations and prepare takeoffs for glazing systems
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing accuracy
• Collaborate with PMs and internal teams to ensure scope alignment
• Submit proposals and follow up with general contractors and clients
• Maintain bid documentation and update estimating database

Compensation & Benefits:

• $95,000–$105,000 base salary + performance-based bonus
