About the Client:

Our client is a commercial glazing subcontractor serving Charlotte and the Carolinas. They specialize in curtain wall, storefront, and unitized systems for institutional, healthcare, and mid-rise developments, with a reputation for technical precision and competitive delivery.

Position Overview:

As Estimator, you will lead preconstruction pricing efforts for complex glazing projects. You’ll analyze plans, perform takeoffs, coordinate vendor quotes, and develop proposals that balance cost, risk, and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review drawings and specifications for curtain wall, storefront, and glass systems

• Perform accurate takeoffs and develop detailed cost breakdowns

• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing

• Prepare proposals and support bid presentations

• Track market pricing and maintain estimating database

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of estimating experience in glazing or façade systems

• Strong command of blueprint reading and takeoff techniques

• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Excel; PlanSwift a plus

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

Day-to-Day:

• Analyze bid invitations and complete takeoffs

• Build cost breakdowns and compile vendor quotes

• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and suppliers to validate scope

• Submit proposals and follow up with clients

• Maintain organized bid documentation and pricing data

Compensation & Benefits:
