Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of commercial roofing projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale projects, including schools, hospitals, distribution centers, and mixed-use developments, while gaining valuable experience in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Manager in scheduling, budgeting, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely material and labor delivery.
  • Review and interpret roofing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Track daily project progress and maintain field documentation.
  • Support safety compliance and quality control efforts.
  • Attend jobsite meetings and assist with client communication.
  • Help prepare project closeout documentation and resolve punch lists.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in construction, ideally in commercial roofing or building envelope projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore, PlanGrid, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.

Day-to-day:

  • Work directly under a Project Manager to help deliver roofing projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and track material deliveries.
  • Update project documentation, logs, and progress reports.
  • Communicate regularly with foremen and site superintendents to address project needs.
  • Support field issue resolution and ensure punch list items are completed.
